Governing law and venue
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would select another jurisdiction. Any dispute arising from or relating to Sentinel Forge Academy programs, materials, or this website shall be submitted to the competent courts of Seoul, Korea, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your place of residence grant you non-waivable rights to a different venue. We describe this choice plainly so participants and enterprise clients can evaluate fit before enrolling. If a particular clause is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted.
Liability limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sentinel Forge Academy and its instructors provide training and reference materials on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free labs, or that any technique will be suitable for your regulated environment without independent review. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from paid cohort participation shall not exceed the fees you paid for the specific cohort giving rise to the claim during the twelve months preceding the event. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, nor for fraud or willful misconduct. Operational outcomes depend on your staffing, tooling, and governance; we document methodologies rather than promising results.
Intellectual property and permitted use
Course materials—including outlines, lab packs, templates, recordings where offered, and instructor feedback examples—remain the intellectual property of Sentinel Forge Academy unless expressly labeled otherwise. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use materials for internal security operations work within the organization that paid for seats. You may not resell, publicly repost, or incorporate materials into competing training products. Where exercises produce your own artifacts (runbooks, queries, narratives), you retain ownership of your contributions, while the underlying templates remain ours. Attribution for third-party excerpts included for education is preserved in the handouts.
Participant responsibilities
Participants agree to attend live sessions punctually when enrolled in synchronous formats, complete assigned exercises in good faith, and treat cohort peers with professional respect. You must not introduce malware, attempt unauthorized access to lab infrastructure, or use class time to solicit unrelated commercial services. Enterprise clients are responsible for ensuring attendees comply with their employer policies regarding confidential data. Do not upload production secrets, customer data, or regulated personal data into shared classroom channels. If you need accommodations, contact us early so we can coordinate reasonable adjustments consistent with operational security.
Acceptance and eligibility
By enrolling, submitting a contact form, or accessing fee-based materials, you affirm that you are at least eighteen years old—or that a parent or guardian has authorized participation—and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Enterprise enrollments warrant that the person signing has authority to bind the organization for payment and usage terms. We may refuse service where fraud risk, safety concerns, or repeated violations of cohort norms are present. Acceptance is contemporaneous with our written confirmation of seat allocation and any required intake steps.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access to materials or remove a participant from a cohort for abusive conduct, repeated confidentiality breaches, or attempts to compromise lab systems. Clients may terminate enterprise agreements according to the order form governing the engagement. Individual participants may withdraw according to the Refund & Cancellation policy. Upon termination, licenses to proprietary materials end except for copies reasonably retained for records under your document retention policy. Survival clauses—including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and governing law—remain in force after termination.
